Returns & refunds

Returns Policy.

Effective for all orders placed via expanseelectronics.com. For your full statutory cancellation rights as a consumer, also see section 8 of our Terms & Conditions.

Damaged or defective items

Any claim for damaged or defective items must be submitted within 30 days of receiving the product. Claims for packages lost in transit must be submitted within 30 days of the estimated delivery date. Where the issue is determined to be an error on our part, the cost is covered at our expense.

Wrong address

If you provide an address considered insufficient by the courier, the shipment will be returned to our facility. You will be liable for reshipment costs once we have confirmed an updated address with you (where applicable).

Unclaimed shipments

Shipments that go unclaimed are returned to our facility. You will be liable for the cost of a reshipment to yourself (where applicable). Unclaimed returns that we are unable to forward are added back to inventory for resale.

Returns by the customer

If you have advised us that you are returning your product due to an issue and we have accepted the return, we will inform you of the return address — which may differ from our facility's address — along with a unique barcode to attach to the outside of your shipment.

Once posted and processed, we will issue a refund based on the state of the product. A partial refund may be issued where there are minor cosmetic defects. If no shipment arrives at our address bearing your unique barcode, a refund cannot be processed.

Damage caused by the end user

expanseElectronics does not accept returns of goods damaged by the end user. This includes (without limitation) erased or modified firmware, internal damage, and any other damage unlikely to occur during shipping. You agree that any returned orders with such damage will not be available for resale and will be disposed of; no refund will be issued.

Notification for EU consumers

Per Article 16(c) and (e) of Directive 2011/83/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 2011 on consumer rights, the right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  1. The supply of goods that are made to the consumer's specifications or are clearly personalised.
  2. Sealed goods which were unsealed after delivery and are therefore unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons.

expanseElectronics reserves the right to refuse returns at its sole discretion in line with the above.

Governing language

This policy shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the English language, regardless of any translations provided for any purpose.
